I've had a career as a preschool teacher with a hobby of paper crafting for the last 10 years, but it is now time to turn my hobby into my career. Torendi was originally going to be a storefront in Astoria with import items but it wasn’t going to be geared towards paper crafting. I know most of us believe things happen for a reason and when that version of Torendi fell through, with encouragement from friends, the true Torendi was born and I’m so excited to be sharing it with all of you. I hope that you find it as exciting and refreshing as I do!

I'm a lover of all things paper and ink! In fact, my hubby's first gift to me was a coloring book and "The Big Box" of Crayons. Now, that's a man after my own heart! I have been paper crafting since I could wield a pair of scissors and have been stamping for about 4 years. Some might describe style as eclectic and fun! And that's alright by me. I enjoy blogging, volunteering, going to Baby Boot camp, music, photography, hiking, and cooking! I'm an army wife and a stay-at-home mom of two boys. My days are an adventure and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.

I'm a SAHM to two wonderful kids and a partner to my husband who I've been with for 19 years! I began scrapbooking and papercrafting almost six years ago with the birth of my son. Taking a few years’ hiatus after the birth of my daughter, I jumped back into scrapping with a vengeance earlier this year. I began my blog and discovered the wonderful world of challenge blogs. I’ve since learned a lot, discovered many new techniques and my current style, and made many wonderful friendships. A few months ago my new-found friend Diana and I started our own challenge blog, Sketchy Thursdays. When not scrapping, I enjoy reading, trying and cooking exotic foods, and my favorite guilty pleasure is Dancing With the Stars.

I am a "mommy", "Loverdid" and sometimes even a "poopyhead" and that's alright with me. As long as there is paper and ink, my world will go round. I love colors as long as there is lots of black surrounding it and I love going down the paths not yet taken. I live in Los Angeles with my husband, Mike, and my lovable and quirky dog, Putter. I love fun and bright design that makes people smile and have been officially paper crafting for about a year and a half. I have always enjoyed making cards and can't remember a time when I didn't have a Crayola crayon in my hand, but up until a year and a half ago the farthest I had gone was thumb print animals (which totally rock, by the way!) I decided I wanted to be able to make cards like the ones I saw in boutiques here in L.A., so I went to YouTube, searched for card making videos, and I was hooked! Knowing that I could possibly make someone's day brighter is the best inspiration. Other than crafting, I love to hang out with my friends, watch TV and movies, play music and relax with my hubby.
